Barbara's Calendar Highlights
Barbara Fink loves Butte Events almost as much as she loves being a professional clown. Farmers' Market is an absolutely great time Uptown every Saturday morning all summer. An Ri Ra, the annual Montana Irish Festival, has an incredibly high caliber of Irish music and dancers. It's a family event that goes on day and night. My hat's off to the people who put that on. No place in the country has anything like our Freedom Festival. Having the fireworks on the 3rd of July and then to come back the next day with the parade. Butte's Fourth of July parade is the best small town celebration you will ever find. Evel Knievel Days is a well put together event. The Christmas Stroll here surpasses any others I've heard about. The Ice Sculpting Contest had over 50 entries last year. St. Patrick's Day is nearly a week of events. When Butte has an offering it's huge with something for everybody. And most of the events are Uptown, the jewel of Butte. |
